In January 2020 we inaugurated our first exhibition “House taken over" (“Tomémonos la casa”).
We decided on that title because the house is the space we know best, it is a space destined to be inhabited and is part of our daily lives. The house was the niche to begin to create together, take ownership and make this our first common space.
Twenty-one women agreed to participate in our call. They took the house from different perspectives, disciplines and techniques. Committed to their work, they motivated Fronterizas to promote and strengthen the collective. This is how the intention to continue promoting new exhibitions was born, opening calls where artists can take space for their artistic production, and where their works can be exhibited, sold and valued in non-conventional spaces.
