We call  women

who wants to create a work based on the idea or concept of “cultivation’, understood as a reflection of the human being before the environment and the work of the land.

The site chosen for the exhibition of this collective proposal is RAÍZ contemporary art and design, a space located in Suesca, Colombia.

Artist from any country are welcome to submit works in any visual medium.

We are inviting all women artists working with painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography, video, collage and textiles to submit their work.

STAGES OF THE CALL

  1. To participate in the “cultivate” call, those interested will submit a (PDF file) until September 23 (selection process)  with a maximum size of 5 MB. Please follow this format:  (choose initials) last name, name of the artist.All documentation will be presented in digital format and in the following order:

1. Technical file: Title of the work / Names and last names / Technique / Dimensions / Year / Value

2. Date and place of birth / Country of residence / Contact phone / Postal address / E-mail / Website if available..

3. Summary of the artist’s work in three lines.

4. Bio (max. 300 words)

Stages of reception and assembly of the work

1. Send your work to the following address in Bogotá: Transversal 55A No 115A-19 Barrio Ilarco, Bogotá Colombia. 

  • Delivery: The maximum term will be from October 1 to 2, 2021
  • Assembly: October 9 and 10, 2021. Attach the assembly instructions with the work. They are asked to be clear and precise.
  • In-person inauguration: Friday, October 15, 2021 at 3 p.m. at 6 p.m.
  • Virtual opening: Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Disassembly: December 11, 2021.

2. Shipping and insurance costs are the responsibility of each artist. (both outbound and back to the city or country of shipment). The work will NOT be insured during the exhibition, but the house has a 24-hour monitoring system.

3. The Fronterizas collective is not responsible for any damage, risk or loss caused by a third party to the work.

4. By mutual agreement, it will be arranged as follows: Fronterizas assumes the commitment to provide the physical space for the exhibition, promotion and publicity n in media and social networks and will offer a welcome cocktail. The exhibitor assumes the commitments to send and pick up the work on time.

5. The Fronterizas collective and the Exhibitors, by mutual consent, agree on the commission for the sale of the artwork as follows: 40% for Fronterizas and 60% for the artist. The payment for artwork sales will be paid to the exhibitor as the buyers pay the total of the artworks acquired in the exhibition.

6. This agreement shall be terminated by an understanding between the parties and unilaterally for failure to comply with it.
